YouTube Shorts wanted to end 2022 by showcasing communities and proving that Shorts was the best place to re-watch the year. So we made hundreds of videos of top creators across trending categories. The design system needed a user-generated feel and to flex across trends and platforms. The finals felt so vibey we ended up putting them on billboards. Our team concepted and produced the whole thing in-house. As GCD, I oversaw the teams from San Francisco to Sao Paulo who made it happen. It was a big way to end the year.
